A former military and service dock, it remained inaccessible to the public for much of its recent history. Its redevelopment (completed in 2021) gave this area back to the city, turning a closed-off space into a large open riverside square.
Dedicated to preserving nautical heritage, the dock often hosts traditional Tagus boats and historic ships. It has modern infrastructure for passenger embarkation and disembarkation at exclusive events.
Current use: Leisure, Culture and Events. Its logistical versatility and premium location were proven by hosting large-scale events such as “Santos no Tejo”, which brought the tradition of popular festivities to the riverside with modern organisation. In 2024, it cemented its status by hosting the Betano EuroVillage. On days without events, it’s a lifestyle hub with kiosks and the permanent presence of the restaurant ÀCosta.
