Originally created to serve small fishing boats and support the neighbourhood of Belém’s nautical activities, it was later adapted for leisure boating and the tourist marina. Its current layout is the result of redevelopment works for the “Exhibition of the Portuguese World” in 1940. It was designed from the ground up with a representative and leisure purpose, next to the former seaplane base (Bom Sucesso Dock).
Dedicated exclusively to leisure craft. It has capacity for around 186 berths. Its draft (depth) is more limited, making it ideal for sailing boats and small to medium leisure craft (up to around 2 metres of draft and 12 metres in length).
Current Function: Leisure boating, headquarters of yacht clubs, and support for tourism.
