Lisbon is a destination that attracts tourists from all over the world. Recently, two American families visited the city for the first time and decided to enjoy a unique experience: an exclusive private boat tour with dips in Lisbon.
Next, we describe what this unforgettable day was like for these two families of friends.
Family day
The two families, made up of seven people—four adults and three teenagers—were staying at the same hotel in central Lisbon. Excited to see the city from a new perspective, they chose a private transfer that took them straight to the Docks, where the Lisbon Sight Sailing team was waiting for them.
At around 10 AM, everyone was on board, ready to start the tour. The sun was shining brightly in the morning, promising a perfect summer day.
Seeing Portuguese landmarks from a different perspective
As the boat sailed along the Tagus, everyone was able to admire some of Lisbon’s historic landmarks from a privileged angle. According to our guests, the Belém Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries stood out, providing countless opportunities for amazing photos.
When they arrived in Cascais, the teenagers, curious about the new experience, were the first to dive in. The Atlantic waters were inviting, and soon after the adults joined in the fun too. During this time, there was also no shortage of stand-up paddleboards, which we brought especially for the teenagers.

Lunch on Board
At around 2 PM, after lots of laughter and dips, a delicious lunch was served on board. The dishes, prepared with fresh ingredients and typical Portuguese flavours, pleased everyone. It was a great moment to relax and enjoy each other’s company.

The day was fantastic, and there was time to make the most of it and soak up some sun.
Return to Lisbon
Later on, and with dessert already enjoyed, the sailboat continued its route back to Lisbon. The feeling of satisfaction and joy was clear on everyone’s faces. During the afternoon, they had time to take in the views of the Estoril Coast and share stories and experiences from the United States with the crew.
The boat tour ended around 6 PM. The families said goodbye to the crew with words of thanks and praise for the experience provided.
Positive feedback
The families’ feedback was extremely positive. They highlighted the impeccable organisation, the crew’s friendliness and professionalism, and the beauty of the views they enjoyed during the tour. For everyone, it was a day full of great moments… and family dips in the Atlantic Ocean. 😉
