Lisbon has been elected, for the first time, the Best MICE Destination in Europe<\/strong>, at the fourth edition of the World MICE Awards<\/a>, held in Berlin, Germany. This award, considered the “Oscar of Business Tourism”, recognizes the city’s excellence in organizing events such as congresses, conventions, incentives, and fairs.<\/p>\n\n

The Portuguese capital has been asserting itself as a reference destination for business tourism, occupying since 2019 the 2nd place in the world ranking of ICCA<\/a> (International Congress and Convention Association). In 2022 and 2023, more than 2,250 events were registered in Lisbon, attracting more than 592,178 participants from all over the world.<\/p>\n\n
